About Pellar Fox

We knew from the very beginning we wanted to bring you something different. Pellar Fox is committed to handcrafting amazing luxury beeswax candles, made in small batches with 100% pure beeswax. Maintaining sustainability and a reduced environmental impact is important to us in every step of our process. Everything is crafted by hand in small batches, and we never use silicone or polyurethane molds, which are common in modern day beeswax candlemaking.

Our goal is to make candle shopping easier for those with allergies, asthma and other sensitivities, as well as folks who are concerned about the toxins their pets metabolize in the home environment. Our pure, unscented beeswax candles smell of the wonderful things bees pollinate...including wildflowers, sweet pea and sunflowers. Our candles are hand-poured in our signature apothecary glass, and created without parabens, dyes, petroleum or phthalates.

So, how did we get our name? In Medieval times, a Pellar was a healer and someone villagers would seek out for help. "Pellar" comes from the latin word ‘Pello’, which means “to expel, banish, drive out”…and when you light a beeswax candle, it produces negative ions that attach to dust, pollen, mold, odor, and toxins in the air…literally driving them out of your space. We chose “Fox” because they are resourceful, intelligent and friendly.  It's also been said that you should keep your beehive at least 3 ft. off the ground, because foxes (among other animals) love honey and beeswax - almost as much as we do.
